**SOLD** Solingen Fighter with Fossil Walrus Ivory

$1395

**SOLD** Solingen Fighter with Fossil Walrus Ivory Image
During the Vietnam war the demand for Randall fighting knives was such that it became necessary for the Randall shop to acquire rough forged factory blades from Solingen Germany that could be assembled in Orlando. After the war there was no longer a need for the Solingen blades. According to Bob Gaddis, less than 100 of this type were made and only a very few were made with Fossil Walrus. The remainder were re-ground into what would become known to collectors as the "Solingen Fighter". This offering is the 5 1/2" Solingen Fighter featuring the less common stainless steel blade and uncommon nickel silver single hilt. Additionally, this Solingen Fighter is one of the ultra-rare examples handled in fossil Walrus ivory and featuring a single finger grip. The sheath is a black Johnson smooth-back.
